Pray For Ukraine

I just wanted to say that I am extremely grateful for your generosity and being so responsive to help Ukrainians. Thank you to all who donated to Heart to Heart fundraiser. I know that so many of sitting at home, watching the news in disbelief, and wish we could do something to make a difference. You just did! Some of you might know the whole history of Heart to Heart nonprofit you just donated to, some just responded out of the kindness of your heart. Bloomington based Heart to Heart (HTH) has no administrative cost and your 100% donation is going directly to help someone in desperate need. My friend Svetlana Pokhodina, who has been carrying out HTH mission to help orphanages, elderly homes and the most needy ones for over 30 years, is communicating daily with people she has worked with for years to get some help. They are purchasing food, clothes and the most basic supplies to help refugees, orphanages and volunteers who are stepping up to protect their country. HTH started the mission to help Ukrainians back in 1991 when it was breaking away from the Soviet Union and the country was so financially broke that it couldn’t feed its own children and citizens. It almost feels like the clock is turning back in time. I myself travelled to Ukraine at least 6 times over the past 10 years to visit orphanages and only being there in person I realized how much a small gift can change some child’s or family’s life.
